Eating locally is something we can do as individuals to stem the climate crisis. But not everyone has a sunny space or may not have a yard at all to grow their own food. One solution is to rent a plot in a community garden.
We will go to Monona United Methodist Church on Nichols Rd this month to learn about community gardening. Team members who manage the garden will tell us about its history and genesis, its missions and goals and how it operates. There will be a garden tour and an opportunity to have your questions answered.
Adults, teens and tweens are welcome to attend. There will be free refreshments and a door prize. Eco-Action Tuesdays is sponsored by MGE.
