In this 'unpredictable presentation,' author Gavin Schmitt covers all the highlights of organized crime in Milwaukee and Wisconsin, and also goes to places lesser known for their mob ties. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions -- wondering if that rumor is true? This might just be the answer you've waited for.

About the presenter: Gavin Schmitt is the author of thirteen books; as a professional historian, he focuses on crime in the Midwest within a broader social and political context. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin with a philosophy degree, he was trained to use logic and critical thinking to sort fact from fiction.
His book Milwaukee Mafia: Mobsters in the Heartland (2015, Barricade) was the first book to focus on organized crime in Wisconsin, and spawned multiple sequels. Schmitt was asked to co-host the Milwaukee Mafia podcast. Now with over 100 episodes, this bi-weekly series is available from Apple, Spotify and many other outlets.
