Program Description

Event Details

Mend in community with your neighbors! Come to the Mending Circle, a supportive, hands-on event. Think of your neighbor who’s great with a sewing machine or hand-stitching, sitting with you and working collaboratively to creatively refresh or fix your item(s).

This will be a hands-on work time, to learn by doing, not a formal class in mending or sewing. All skill levels are welcome!

What to bring: clothes with tears or worn-out places, stuffed animals with split seams, missing ears or paws, Halloween costumes that could do with a refresh or repair.

Don’t have any items in need of mending right now? We’ll have some mendable clothing items on hand for you to practice on. There will be some supplies on hand including scissors, needles, thread, and cloth/fabric for patching. If you have extra sewing or stitching supplies to contribute, bring them along!

Please register for this program, adults, teens, and tweens are welcome! There will be free refreshments and a door prize. Eco-Action Tuesdays is sponsored by MGE.
